Welsh walls

Just returned from a weekend in Wales...some amazing different walls and interesting to see different styles with different types of stone. Glad I wan't f inishing this wall end...look closely between the trees at the top of the rock face! Double copestones! Double copers, quite popular - near Beddgelert A huge wall, beautifully made Pretty mucky working conditions though...I don't know how they moved some of these rocks!
Walling yesterday with a companion.... Who'd have known there was so much to eat in an old wall! Then I made a startling discovery deep in the wall... Snail art!

Finished, despite the rain and aided by Pink Floyd

Finished the second third of the long wall and have now been requested by the owner of the third section to complete that too! First time walling in heavy rain - not fun; slipping and sliding in mud - not fun. Finally sorted out headphones to make walling to music possible - great fun! Somehow, Pink Floyd's The Wall seemed quite appropriate! (Apart from the lyrics, 'tear down the wall' perhaps!)
Walling injury, trapped finger between 2 really hurt! and keeps on hurting...
As a member of the Derbyshire Dry Walling Association I attended the Chatsworth Show where we built a beautiful wall commemorating the wallers who left the hills and Dales to fight in WW1
